2025 Graduation Information
COMMENCEMENT REHEARSAL - Will be Thursday, June 12, 2025 @ 1:30 pm at East Hill Church 701 N Main Ave, Gresham, OR 97030. Students that attend rehearsal will be put in for a drawing for $2500 in scholarships!
COMMENCEMENT - Thursday, June 12, 2025 @ 7:00pm. at East Hill Church 701 N Main Ave, Gresham, OR 97030. We try to keep the ceremony to an hour. Doors open at 6pm.
CLASS PHOTO: Graduates, please arrive between 6:00-6:30 for a class photo on the lawn (weather permitting).
CAP & GOWNS are required in order to participate in graduation. If you have not ordered your Cap/gown/tassel, please do so through Jostens. You may decorate your cap!
**All Jostens orders will be sent to your home not MEWA**
You can also borrow a cap & gown from MEWA. Please email Lisa Hirschmugl @ lhirschmugl@mewebacademy.org Due to limited supply, cap & gowns are available first come first serve. (There will be a box to return the cap/gowns in the foyer after graduation, or they can be brought to MEWA on Friday the day after graduation.)
CAP/GOWN DONATIONS: If you purchased your cap/gown and do not want them, you may donate your cap/gown to next year’s graduating class. If you would like to do this, please bring them by MEWA.
GUEST PARKING: There is plenty of parking at EastHill Church. **Please note that all cars need to be removed from the parking lot by 9:15pm** EastHill will be closing the gates at 9:30pm and you will not be able to get your car until the next day.
NO TICKETS ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND CEREMONY: However, please be mindful of how many family/friends you invite. Our graduating class this year is large and we want to make sure everyone is accommodated with a seat in the auditorium.
GRADUATION LIVE STREAM: For family members that will not be attending. We will be live streaming graduation. The link will be accessible here:

SEATING: Seating is first come first serve. Doors will open at 6pm.
BAG CHECK: We will be checking bags at the door. No weapons, mace, or any sound makers will be allowed in the auditorium.
REGALIA/CAP/GOWNS - Pick up Monday, June 2nd or at Rehearsal.
DIPLOMA PICK UP - Diplomas will not be in the jacket given to you at graduation. Diplomas will be available for pick up at MEWA on
Monday, June 16-June 30 after all school property has been returned and fees have been paid.
